Calendar designs for 2013

There are some new items in my shop! You can now buy a printable calendar for 2013 in three variations. The typographic calendar has a beautiful '2013' illustration based on the four seasons. Mijn kerstkaart is geselecteerd door visualMAG! Dat is een online magazine over (digitale) kunst,  cultuur en andere creatieve disciplines. Ze publiceerden vandaag een artikel met daarin een selectie van 13 super originele kerstkaarten, en ik ben vereerd dat mijn kaart er tussen staat! De kaart hierboven vond ik ook prachtig. Deze is ontworpen door cut&make.

I would like to introduce this new shop to you: One Color Rainbow, founded by a good friend of mine, Sofie van Schadewijk. She's a freelance illustrative designer and makes wonderful drawings. What I love about her work is her imagination and how she creates her own world through illustrations. Take a look!

One Color Rainbow has a shop on Etsy, where Sofie sells her own designs: beautiful products (t-shirts and bags) that are all screen printed by hand!

Sofie's illustrations have a lot of beautiful little details. She works only with black and white, and because of that she manages to create a very sophisticated image. Her one color drawings offer a great range of shapes, lines and textures: a one color rainbow!

Little bird, have you got a key? Any bird would want to have a castle like this one!

Ik wil jullie graag kennis laten maken met een nieuwe online winkel: One Color Rainbow, opgericht door een goede vriendin van mij, Sofie van Schadewijk. Ze is freelance illustratief ontwerper en maakt heel bijzondere tekeningen. Wat ik bewonder in haar werk is haar grote verbeeldingskracht en hoe ze in haar illustraties een eigen wereld creëert. One Color Rainbow heeft een winkel op Etsy, waar Sofie haar eigen ontwerpen verkoopt: prachtige producten (t-shirts voor zowel mannen als vrouwen, en tassen) die handmatig zijn gezeefdrukt.

Sofie's illustraties zijn rijk aan details. Ze werkt alleen met zwart en wit, waardoor haar werk een stijlvolle en verfijnde uitstraling krijgt. Haar tekeningen hebben een groot palet aan structuren, lijnen en vormen, vandaar: One Color Rainbow!

Nieuw in mijn winkel op Etsy, katoenen draagtassen! 
Ik heb 3 verschillende ontwerpen gemaakt, en ze zijn niet gezeefdrukt, maar helemaal met de hand beschilderd/getekend! 
Deze grote tassen zijn perfect om allerlei spullen mee te nemen: boeken, boodschappen, sportkleding enzovoort. Maak een statement door een katoenen tas bij je te dragen! Ze zijn te koop in mijn webwinkel: papierdier.etsy.com (die trouwens al bijna helemaal in het Nederlands te bezoeken is!).

 

Christmas is coming soon

I know it's still October, but Christmas is coming soon! And it's a good idea to already look around for some little presents and cards, so you'll have them delivered in time. And isn't just looking forward to Christmas the nicest thing to do?

I already sold one of my Christmas items in my Etsy shop, it's this Christmas card!

And not only a Christmas card... when you fold the card in a particular way, it can be used as a charming paper lantern! Buy it in my shop!
It's more than a Christmas card. It's a one of a kind gift for someone really special. Handmade by me with dedication. 

The card is completely handmade, all the paper cutting is done by me. It takes some time to make one, so if you buy the card, you know that you buy a unique item. Buy it as a gift for someone special, or give it to yourself: the card will keep its value because you can use it as a lantern every season.

Ik weet dat het nog maar oktober is, maar toch: de kerstdagen komen er echt al heel snel aan! En het is een goed idee om nu alvast rond te kijken naar kleine cadeautjes en kaarten, zodat je ze op tijd in huis zult hebben. En is die voorpret eigenlijk niet het allerleukste van de feestdagen?

Ik heb zelfs al een van mijn kerstitems in mijn Etsy shop verkocht, deze kerstkaart!
En het is meer dan een kerstkaart... wanneer je de kaart op een bepaalde manier vouwt, dan verandert hij in een prachtig en sfeervol papieren lantaarntje! Te koop in mijn shop!
Als je deze kaart verstuurt naar iemand, stuur je hem of haar echt een speciaal cadeautje. De kaart/lantaarn is helemaal handgemaakt door mijzelf. Het papiersnijwerk met de hand kost best wat tijd om te maken, dus als je de kaart koopt, weet je dat je echt een uniek product in handen hebt. Koop het als een presentje voor een speciaal iemand, of geef het aan jezelf: de kaart houdt zijn waarde omdat je het elk jaar weer kunt gebruiken als sfeerlichtje.
