You know how much I love books? That's why I'll definitely be going to “The Printed Book: A Visual History,” an exhibition (running through May 13) at the Special Collections department of the University of Amsterdam. Drawn from the university’s book collection, which is among the world’s finest, the exhibition shows the evolution of book design. Je hebt zeker wel door hoeveel ik van boeken houd? Daarom ben ik zeker van plan deze expositie te bezoeken. "The Printed Book" biedt een overzicht van ‘best verzorgde boeken’ van 1470 tot nu. De tentoonstelling is te zien bij de Bijzondere Collecties van de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Als een canon van de boekvormgeving toont deze tentoonstelling, ontworpen door Experimental Jetset, het gedrukte boek in al zijn verschijningsvormen door de jaren heen, of het nu oude prachtig gemaakte atlassen zijn of de nieuwste boekontwerpen over kunst en design.
